BOSTON: Falmouth State Representatives Timothy R. Madden and Matthew A Patrick, along with Senate President Therese Murray congratulate the Falmouth Housing Authority (FHA) on being awarded construction funding of $ 16,855 for heating system replacements at the Authority’s 705-1 12 Montauk St. and 123 Maravista Ave. properties. The project is being funded through American Recovery & Reinvestment Act (ARRA) Weatherization Assistance Program. These funds are being granted to state-supported public housing units in which the heating systems are out-dated and in which the tenants pay their own heat.
“This award will directly help families in Falmouth, many of whom are struggling to pay their heating bills in this tough economy,” said Senate President Murray. “By replacing the existing heating system, not only is there cost-savings, but a positive environmental impact.”
“This funding will help support the Housing Authority’s proactive agenda as well as assist in lowering the cost of heat their residents” said Representative Timothy Madden.
