BOSTON: State Representative Timothy R. Madden is pleased to announce that the Nantucket Planning and Economic Development Commission (NPEDC) was added to the Ocean Advisory Commission by way of a budget amendment. The language adopted will amend the Oceans Act of 2008 that had previously omitted NPEDC. It will ensure that when the Plan is revisited every 5 years, NPEDC will have a vote on the Ocean Advisory Commission and a voice for Nantucket.
